Chronicle of an iconic character
Chronicle by Robert Kiyosaki.
Robert Kiyosaki was born on
April 8, 1947 in Hilo, Hawaii, and grew up in a family of educators. His father
was a senior government official in Hawaii and his mother was a registered
nurse. Kiyosaki attended the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and graduated with a
degree in marine engineering in 1969.
After graduating, Kiyosaki
joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was deployed to Vietnam, where he served as a
helicopter pilot in the war. Upon returning from Vietnam, Kiyosaki began
working in sales for Xerox Corporation.
In the 1980s, Kiyosaki founded
his own company, which imported nylon wallets and Velcro from South Korea. At
that time, he also began investing in real estate. However, Kiyosaki's company
failed in 1985 due to production problems. Kiyosaki filed for bankruptcy and
lost all his properties.
From there, Kiyosaki began
teaching personal finance and writing books. His first major success was
"Rich Dad, Poor Dad", published in 1997.
The most important thing Robert
Kiyosaki did was to popularize financial education and help people better
understand how to manage their money and personal finances. Through his books,
games, courses and seminars, Kiyosaki has taught millions of people around the
world the importance of acquiring assets that generate passive income and
understanding the differences between active and passive income.
Kiyosaki has also been an
advocate of real estate investing as a way to build a fortune, and has provided
practical advice on how to do so effectively. Overall, his focus on financial
education has helped many people improve their financial situation and work
toward financial independence.
